Security (Information & Communication Technology)A large government organisation is on the lookout for a Cyber Security Architect for a 2 Year Fixed Term Contract based from their head office in the Sydney CBD. The purpose of the role is to be a key contributor to the overall technical direction of the team's security capability. The role works closely with client engagement, large cyber programs of maturity, and leaders across the Security and Risk team providing specialist advice and skills to ensure the successful migration, implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of cyber defence, risk, and resilience services across the wider business. The role has flexible working arrangements and will pay up to $188k INCL super for the right candidate.Key Accountabilities:Execute the security architecture design development for key projects through the application of architectural methods, standards, and principles.Define security solutions architectures, high-level designs, and impact assessments for initiatives and/or systems across the client.Assess new technologies, vendors, and cloud services against the client's security standards.Define security requirements for an application or specify optimum security design for major IT implementations.Take ownership of deliverables for Security Architecture and Security Risk Assessments and ensure that they are agreed and endorsed by all stakeholders.Work with analysts in defining business requirements, and collaborate with subject matter experts (such as infrastructure leads, cloud specialists, architects, operators, developers, and business experts) to develop high-level designs, in line with the security architecture, patterns, and practices. This may occasionally extend to assist with detailed design work.Experience Required:Deep knowledge of information security risk management and cyber security technologies.Must have experience as a Cyber Security Architect working on an application migration project.Strong experience in implementing security architectures, tools, and practices with a working knowledge of OT and IT.Demonstrated knowledge of ISO27001, ISO31000, IEC 62443, ASD Essential 8, and/or NIST Framework.IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, protocols, operating systems, software, hardware, and security across enterprise networks and OT environments is desirable.Experience in undertaking major security projects including the design and implementation of security technologies.If this sounds like your next opportunity, please send an updated CV to Todd Thorn and I will call you to discuss.
