Our friendly IT team have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join the team in Lidcombe. This role will assess the security of vendors used by Rentokil Initial (software, hardware, networks, and systems), maintain existing infrastructure/EUC security posture and in collaboration with our Global Information Security team, protect information and systems against any cyber-related threats in order to develop a stronger, secure and resilient IT environment.
To be successful in the role, the individual must possess an ability to work as part of a team within defined policies and procedures but also have a demonstrated ability to work in an autonomous manner.
Based in Sydney and reporting to the Pacific IT Service Delivery Manager, this role will include the following: Ensure that all new vendor's security meets or exceeds the company-defined policies and requirementsLiaise with external 3rd parties to complete all security checks for any new applicationsRecommending security enhancements to management or senior IT staffRegular communication with the wider business on all Security threats and ways to protect themselvesResearching new security technology to decide what will most effectively protect your organisationResearching the latest information technology (IT) security trendsPerform quarterly phishing exercisesMaintain end user compute and server infrastructure security statureAssist with regional monitoring and triage any alerts or security issues for the Pacific RegionEscalate any threats as requiredGood exposure to the handling of security-related incidents to root cause understanding of Risk management practices with the ability to participate in Risk assessments and maintain Risk registers.Understanding of the principles and good knowledge of ISO27001/NIST practices and controls would be beneficialA willingness to take on low-level tasks with enthusiasm and due diligenceRequirements: Minimum 4 years of Experience in working in an IT-related field such as Network or Systems administrationMinimum 2 years of experience in Advanced knowledge of new technologies and trends in cyber securityExcellent customer service skills; able to provide high-quality, well-trusted security servicesDemonstrated capability with Google, Gmail, GSuite, Active Directory and CitrixKnowledge and understanding of Chromebooks would be beneficialRelevant IT qualifications such as CEH or CompTIA Security+ and ITILKnowledge and understanding of IT systems, their use and applicability in the service industryExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalGood interpersonal skills with the ability to explain security concepts to system users and stakeholdersThe successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and background checks.
