We are looking for a passionate and driven individual with experience as a Cyber Security Analyst.About The RoleThe role of Cyber Security Analyst will support protecting our organisation's information and data from cyber threats. The role will be responsible for monitoring and analysing security alerts, identifying potential threats, responding to security incidents and managing cyber security related systems. This role requires a strong understanding of cyber security principles, ability to perform technical remediations and improvements, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.As the Cyber Security Analyst, you will report to the Head of Group IT supporting the delivery of the Kelsian Cyber Security Strategy and Roadmap, which enables continuous improvement and supports day-to-day security operations activities. The role is required to evaluate, document and implement procedural and technical solutions that protect Kelsian's information and associated technology systems to minimise the potential harm resulting from cyber threats.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing the management, deployment and maintenance of new and existing technical cyber security platforms across IT and OT.Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses and recommend remediation steps to mitigate risks.Manage and enforce IAM policies, ensuring appropriate user access rights and privilege management across all systems.Evaluate and recommend new security tools, software, and technologies to enhance the organisation's security posture.Develop, maintain, and implement security policies, procedures, and technical documentation, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security frameworks such as ISO 27001 & PCI DSS.Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, risk assessments, audit findings, and patch management activities for management and regulatory review.Liaise with the various IT departments to resolve issues related to security as and when required.About YouWe are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of Cyber Security Analyst requirements to champion our business value of security as a triad of confidentiality, integrity and availability.An appropriate tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology or Computer Science or Cyber Security is required and industry recognised certifications such as CompTIA Security +, and/or Certified Information Systems Security professional (CISSP).The successful applicant must possess the following characteristics and experience:Strong knowledge of security protocols, tools, and technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, EDR, IDS/IPS).Experience with patch management systems and methodologies.Experience with identity and access management solutions and best practices (e.g., Active Directory / Entra, Okta, SSO, MFA).Knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and encryption technologies.Proficiency in conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.Familiarity with Next Gen SIEM platforms.Passion for cyber security with a broad understanding of the cyber landscape and awareness of current trends.A technical background in infrastructure or networking would be advantageous.How to ApplyWe are requesting your resume and a cover letter addressing your experience as it would relate to the responsibilities of this role.Please fill in as much information as you can in the track record section of the application and pay close attention to the questions.Applications close by 5pm 1 November 2024.We aim to provide meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities that are free from barriers, support and celebrate the diverse talents of our team members, improve awareness of the value of diversity and inclusion across our organisation, and enable our leaders to champion diversity and inclusion.
