Purpose: The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets by proactively identifying vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security policies, and rapidly responding to cybersecurity incidents.
This role exists to protect sensitive information, maintain the integrity of systems, and prevent unauthorized access, ensuring the organization maintains a robust security posture in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
Required: Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, vulnerability scanners, and encryption techniques.
Knowledge of industry-standard security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements such as SOC2, APRA, GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
A solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and routers.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex security data and identify potential risks.
