Cyber Security Analyst

Are you a passionate Cyber Security Analyst looking to make an impact in a dynamic and complex ICT environment? We are seeking experienced Cyber Security Analysts to join our Integrated Cyber Risk Management team.
You will play a pivotal role in conducting cyber risk assessments on critical technology systems, meeting Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) requirements, and delivering key system authorisations on behalf of the Agency and Shared Services Partners.
Key Responsibilities: Identify, test, and assess security controls in line with the Australian Government PSPF, ISM, and internal policies.
Perform thorough security risk assessments and develop recommendations for risk mitigation.
Contribute to system projects and programs by developing and reviewing key security artefacts, such as Threat and Risk Assessments and System Security Plans.
Manage and nurture stakeholder relationships to meet work area objectives.
Maintain agreed service levels and contribute to the continuous improvement of cyber security services.
Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and strategies.
Educate staff on cyber security practices to ensure adherence to policies.
About You: You have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of cyber security controls, and the ability to communicate security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You are proactive, can work autonomously, and thrive in collaborative environments.
Skills & Experience Required: Extensive experience with risk and information security frameworks, policies, and standards, including the PSPF, ISM, and ISO 27001/2.
Demonstrated experience in conducting security threat and risk assessments, and developing security authorisation artefacts.
Proven experience working in complex ICT environments.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively communicate security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Understanding of global cyber security trends, attack vectors, and techniques.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
