12 + 24 month contract - January 2025 $130 - $155 per hour (inc-Super) - negotiable ACT, Brisbane, Adelaide or Melbourne NV1 Security Clearance Mandatory Our client, a large Federal Government organisation, whose focus is on social welfare and support services, are seeking the experience of a Cyber Security Advisor (Vulnerability Management) for a long 12+24 month contract.
Duties of the Cyber Security Advisor (Vulnerability Management) Lead the technical advice, implementation, and maintenance of security software to ensure the alignment of the ICT security model with corporate level compliance requirements.
Inform the technical build and deployment of vulnerability management practices within Cyber Vulnerability Management (CVM) team.
Inform the processes within CVM to ensure end to end Vulnerability Management processes are fit for purpose and align to Essential 8 requirements with particular focus to achieving Maturity Level 2.
Primary Technologies Vulnerability scanning tools Rapid7 Insight VM/Nexpose, Tenable, Sentinel, Windows Defender, Forescout, and any additional tools.
Skills and Experience Required Proven experience in developing cyber vulnerabilities management processes and supporting technologies to effectively discover, assess, report, act and evaluate cyber vulnerabilities.
Minimum 5 years experience in cyber security vulnerability management within large scale ICT projects for Federal Government.
Experience in aligning the Vulnerability management process with the relevant security policies, with emphasis on Essential 8 reporting requirements.
The ability to collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security measures.
