Based in either Sydney or Melbourne, this role offers an exciting opportunity to support seamless international trade operations, providing expert advice on customs regulations and ensuring compliance across the board.About the Role:As a Licensed Customs Broker, you will manage the full spectrum of customs clearance activities, offering expert guidance to clients on tariff classifications, import/export procedures, and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will also include preparing documentation, tracking duties and taxes, and resolving customs-related issues efficiently. A key aspect of the role is ensuring that all processes align with Australian Border Force (ABF) and AQIS requirements, while maintaining exceptional service standards for the company's clients.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and streamline customs clearance processes, ensuring alignment with performance standards, KPIs, and regulatory compliance.Advise clients on tariff classifications, duty rates, valuation methods, and trade concessions.Prepare and review customs documentation, such as import/export declarations, shipping manifests, and invoices, while maintaining meticulous records.Address customs-related issues, including inspections, duty disputes, and delays, with a solutions-focused approach.Calculate duties and taxes, facilitate payments on behalf of clients, and coordinate the transportation and storage of goods.Monitor changes in customs regulations and industry trends, ensuring up-to-date practices.Support internal teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences and handle tariff concession applications and refund claims.What We're Looking For:Our ideal candidate is an experienced and detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of Australian customs laws and regulations.Key Requirements:A current and valid Australian Customs Broker Licence, with 3–5 years of brokerage experience (e-commerce knowledge preferred).Expertise in tariff classifications, valuation, and customs duty calculations, with familiarity in Australian-China trade lanes.Strong working knowledge of CargoWise software and proficiency in preparing customs documentation.Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure setting.Experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry, paired with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.If this position sounds interesting to you, please put forward your application by clicking the "Apply" button.
