The Company

Our client is a global freight forwarder and supply chain specialist, founded 25 years ago. With offices in over 50 locations worldwide, this company is looking to add another talented recruit to its ranks.

The brand continues to be an innovator in supply chain solutions and offers its customers a comprehensive overview of their freight movements via their world-class supply chain analytics platform.

The Position

They are looking to employ two experienced Customs Brokers (one junior and one senior) that ideally would have their own personal Customs Licence. Working in the Eagle Farm Office with a work from home facet and reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for applying customs requirements to both ocean and air freight movement for the business' customers.

On an average day you will:

Ensure compliance with all Government Acts, regulations and ABF, AQIS.

Maintain the day-to-day customs clearance functions.

Prepare customs documentation and ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws.

Provide accurate customs declaration information.

Participate in regular internal audits and associated reporting.

Liaise efficiently and effectively with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Attend to client enquiries relating to tariff classification of goods.

Manage the documentation flow.

Apply for tariff concessions.

Build a team of classifiers and compliers.

The Package

Alongside full product and job training given by the company, the package on offer for the successful candidate is:

Junior Customs Broker Salary between $90,000 - $95,000 per year, plus superannuation.

Senior Customs Broker Salary between $120,000 - $130,000 per year, plus superannuation.

WFH 1-2 days per week.

Free on-site car parking.

The Candidate

This job would suit a candidate that has a current and up-to-date Customs Broker Licence and has experience in the Australian freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will also have the following attributes:

A current Customs Broker Licence.

Quarantine experience or accreditation.

ICS experience.

Freight forwarding qualification.

Management experience.

Customer care focus and strong communication skills.
