The Opportunity As a Customer Service Officer, you will deliver welcoming and professional customer service through all customer interactions in person, on the phone and online.
You will also be responsible for:
Asking direct and appropriate questions in order to assist customersProvision of accurate information in a timely mannerRecording information in Council database softwareMaintaining a professional image and compliance with uniform policyThis is a part time position for 12 months, working 38 hours a fortnight.
Minimum Requirements: Proven experience in a call centre or high-volume phone operations.Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer service industry.To be customer outcome focused delivering high resolution at first point.Use initiative and problem-solving techniques for the best customer and business outcomes.Excellent numeracy, cash handling, balancing and end of day banking experience.Well-developed knowledge of the East Gippsland Shire, region and/or services.Excellent keyboard skills and experience with Microsoft software; Internet; and database products.If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and hold a current and valid employee Working with Children Check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
