Customer Service Officer

Public Sector People are working closely with a council in the eastern suburbs to recruit a Customer Service Officer for a 3-month temporary contract.
Position: Customer Service Officer Duration: 3 months Part Time: 38 hours per week  Location: Eastern Suburbs  Rate: $39.73 per hour + Super Key Responsibilities: To provide excellent first-point-of-contact service to customers contacting the Council.
This will include phone, face to face and digital channels.
Effectively manage all enquiries, requests and complaints on all of Council's services.
Where it is not possible to resolve queries, redirect queries to the relevant department following standard procedure.
Use Council's Customer Response System (CRS) to log customer requests for action and maintain accurate CRS records.
Criteria: At least 2 years customer service experience in a call centre/ high inbound call environment.
Local council experience is essential.
Ability to engage empathetically with customers with emotionally charged issues would be highly regarded.
Ability to work in a fast-paced call centre environment.
Cash-handling experience.
