Job DescriptionAbout the Position: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic customer service superstar to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Customer Service Officer. The Customer Service Officer position will be responsible for the delivery of excellent customer service to all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
The position will require you to respond to counter and telephone enquiries and refer technical enquiries to the appropriate officer or department via the Shire's Customer Service Module.
You will assist with bookings, event and Civic Centre enquiries, and administration.
Our ideal candidate will have a high level of customer service skills, including the ability to deal with agitated and/or difficult customers, great interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), and great attention to detail.
You should enjoy working in small teams.
This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start.
Standard working hours are Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm with Rostered Day Off accruals. Customer Service Officer-Trainee As a trainee, you will assist in delivering high-quality customer service and administrative support while learning the fundamentals of local government operations, communication protocols, and governance.
This position provides a pathway to gain valuable skills and experience in a supportive environment, with mentorship and training tailored to your career development.
Our ideal candidate will have a mature approach with a strong willingness to learn and develop skills in customer service and administration, and the ability to work effectively as a team in a busy office environment.
Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, is required.
This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start.
