Retail Assistants (Retail & Consumer Products) Casual/Vacation We are looking for an energetic and confident Customer Service Whiz to join the Boocock's Quality Meats team, here at Birtinya.
The role includes, but is not limited to: All aspects of customer service: greeting customers, driving sales, processing orders for customers, answering incoming calls to the shop etc.
Building a rapport with new and returning customers, ensuring a consistent high standard of service.
In-depth product knowledge to successfully promote company brand and products.
Cash-handling: cash and Eftpos sales.
Maintaining a clean and tidy shopfront (general cleaning of countertop, windows etc.).
Packaging and stock replenishment: trays and bags, dry stock on shelves.
Product handling: assisting with filling product trays for the window (i.e.
sausages, value-added).
Ad hoc duties: dishwashing, rubbish collection – general duties required in a retail butcher shop.
The ideal candidate will have: Strong communication skills (confident, articulate, professional speaking).
Excellent presentation.
Availability during busy trade periods (approx.
2pm – 6pm) on some weekdays, at least one weekend day.
Enthusiasm and an outgoing personality.
A willingness to learn.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Extra desirable skills (but not essential): Demonstrated customer service skills AND experience.
What We're Offering: 10 - 30 hours per week (with applicable penalties for weekend shifts), based around your available days.
Each shift can range from 4hrs – 8hrs.
