In this part-time role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while handling inquiries and resolving issues with confidence and professionalism. You will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction and strengthening our brand image.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Customer Interaction:** Handle incoming customer inquiries through multiple channels such as phone, email, and chat, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all clients.
- **Issue Resolution:** Actively listen to customer concerns and resolve issues efficiently and effectively by analyzing information and employing problem-solving techniques.
- **Account Management:** Assist customers with account inquiries, policy changes, and billing inquiries while ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- **Product Knowledge:** Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Erie Insurance products and services in order to provide accurate information and support to customers.
- **Documentation and Reporting:** Accurately document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in our customer relationship management (CRM) system to ensure continuity and quality of service.
- **Customer Education:** Proactively educate customers about insurance products, benefits, and claims processes, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- **Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to share information and enhance customer service experiences.
- **Quality Assurance:** Regularly participate in training sessions and quality assurance initiatives to continuously improve service delivery and personal performance.
- **Feedback Collection:** Gather customer feedback and provide insights to management for process improvements and adjustments to service delivery.
**Requirements:**
- **Experience:** Minimum of 4 years of customer service experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in customer service or related fields is a plus.
- **Personality Traits:** Confident in your interactions and energetic with a proactive approach to customer engagement.
- **Soft Skills:**
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in handling customer inquiries and documentation.
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to empathize with customers and understand their needs.
- **Technical Skills:** Proficient in the use of customer service software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and tools.
- **Work Environment:** Comfortable working from home with a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
