ASAP startNewcastle areaMonday - Friday P/T (10am-4pm)Pay rate - $41.11Our client is proudly Australia's leading steel manufacturing and distribution company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the success of the business by applying customer service skills to ensure customer service standards are met, while assisting the Operations team in achieving growth in intake and gross margin in line with business plans.
The role is primarily responsible for general accounts management, training records, and maintenance orders.
The role is part-time but may require additional hours to cover periods of leave within the team.
Key Responsibilities Work to the required procedures and standards.Maintain the orderliness of the workplace to remove hazards; report safety hazards and apply immediate controls as necessary.Report injuries and incidents to your manager and apply immediate actions and controls.Ensure Take 5 tracking is up to date.Develop and maintain customer relationships through service excellence.Collect scrap collection details from customers and book jobs in the system.Provide efficient customer service via phone and email to continuously meet high standards and promote customer confidence and loyalty.Resolve issues related to customer service and delivery in an efficient and timely manner through liaison with other site personnel such as the Trading Team.Identify the need to refer customer inquiries for technical advice, if required (e.g., Trader, Transport, Branch Managers, etc.
).Answer phones and handle customer inquiries, averaging 60-70 phone calls per day.Perform any other tasks deemed within skill set and required for the achievement of business plans.Enter all scrap purchases in SAP and arrange payments.Process EFT payments.Setup new accounts as required (WBS).Daily data entry.Manage maintenance orders.Ensure all training records are scanned and saved.If you have all the necessary experience and qualifications, please click the APPLY button.
