Please see our Reconciliation Action Plan for more information.Note: By applying to this position you will have an opportunity to share your preferred working location from the following: Sydney NSW, Australia; Melbourne VIC, Australia.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing role.Experience working as a technical engineer in a cloud computing environment.Experience working as a member of a Professional Services/Systems Engineering team or in a customer-facing role.Preferred qualifications:Experience with private, hybrid, or public cloud technology, migrating Windows or Linux, including virtualization (e.g., VMware).Experience with data centers consolidation, relocation, migration, or virtualization projects.Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.Experience in configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, CFEngine, Salt), and functional operations of server, storage, and network functions.Experience with networking concepts (e.g., Routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls).About the jobThe Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and build what's next for their business — all with technology built in the cloud. You will help prospective, existing customers and partners in understanding the potential of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve the business issues, and solve any potential technical roadblocks. You will help assess workloads for migration, plan the necessary steps, and help coordinate migration processes.Google Cloud accelerates every organization's ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.ResponsibilitiesAssess current application and infrastructure setup for our customers. Assist in creating and executing migration plans.Troubleshoot and partner with operations, support, engineering or other functions to ensure successful migrations. Travel to customer sites, advocate at conferences, and other related events as needed.Conduct technical sessions for internal teams, partners, and customers. Manage technical success and accelerated business growth.Assist with creating cloud migration strategies, defining architecture, collaborating to create migration plans, and designing the orchestration of plans. Demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.Identify and qualify migration opportunities, address key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
