JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description: As the Customer Development Manager you will be accountable for delivering business segment objectives and to share customer volume by delivering sales strategic objectives at the lowest possible cost. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive customer business plans to deliver annual operating plan. What are we looking for? Prior customer facing sales experience preferred Natural drive for results and a high desire to achieve success in a team environment Support the Mars Petcare Strategy in Action and the Strategic Channel prioritisation that has been established within the Sales organisation Play a critical role in delivering growth opportunities and improvements Proven ability to implement category strategies both with customers and a field level What will be your key responsibilities? Manage new line and promotional submission forms Performance reporting including routinely evaluating performance and investment using various data platforms to deliver optimised solutions for Mars and our customers Contribute to and help manage customer claims and accrual management Where applicable monitor and evaluate customer activation initiatives across the category to understand the effectiveness Contribute to and in some instances be responsible for account management of Independent/Wholesaler Accounts including all areas of relationship management, pricing & promotion within guardrails, execution, category management, activation, review and collation of monthly sales data and NPD/distribution Contribute to the financial performance of the SPT channel by delivering against agreed totals for managed accounts: GSV, TA and NSV targets, consistent with customer external RSC, GP and growth expectations Contribute to the Mars S&OP process through adherence to demand planning responsibilities such as promotional forecasting and Step 2 Feeder inputs, with all activities delivered in line with supply lead times and external customer expectations Assist with range review process internally and externally, in line with customer review timings and Mars Petcare deployment processes, through collaboration with internal stakeholders to grow Mars Petcare share, range and space Routinely deliver fit for purpose executional plans to Mars Petcare Field team to facilitate best in class experiences and translation of customer strategies at store level.
