About your new role: The Custom Solutions Engineer ensures customer quotations and orders for fluid system assemblies and systems are managed and executed flawlessly. Responsibilities span all aspects of an allocated project, including feasibility assessment, engineering review, design, product selection, customer liaison, generation of quotes and orders, manufacturing guidance, parts ordering, documentation compilation, and system testing. They are responsible for designing & developing technically accurate P&ID and CAD concept drawings and preparation of cost estimates that identify the cost of all parts/material & labour to complete a project within customer deadlines.
The role will be required to fully understand the scope of works through project documents, customer drawings & detailed customer specifications. In major projects, this includes liaising with internal & external stakeholders to ensure final construction meets with the customer design expectations and working closely with other teams. On occasion, with appropriate training, they may be required to assist the Custom Solution team in procurement & production duties.
What will make you successful in this role? Ideally have completed a Mechanical Engineering degree with demonstrated experience in a similar role, or equivalent trades qualifications with experience in a similar role. Mechanical design experience in developing custom design solutions with design packages Solidworks & Auto CAD is highly desirable. The successful candidate may have experience in a field related to fluid systems and experience working with Swagelok products or even previous employment with Swagelok internationally. High level of organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines. A proven track record in being results driven and an appreciation of the need to be measured and accountable to their results. A willingness to contribute to company growth and strategic planning. Competitive remuneration package: base salary + superannuation + discretionary incentive rewards (may be up to 5% of base salary per year aligned to commercial and personal success) + $300 uniform allowance per year.
