CHEF POSITION About the Role: As a Chef, you will report to the Head Chef. We are looking for an experienced and qualified candidate. This is a Full-time role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Programme and execute menu items focusing on authentic North and South Indian cuisine Supervise kitchen staff and maintain high-quality food preparation standards Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and spices Monitor food costs and stock management Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards Train and mentor junior kitchen staff Collaborate with management on menu development and specialities QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Minimum one year's relevant experience or 3 years full time relevant experience if not qualification. Proven knowledge of food safety and Work Health and Safety Legislation Practices a hands-on, active management approach, directly involved in kitchen operations. Possesses extensive expertise and skills in all areas of a commercial kitchen environment. Able to foster a cohesive, positive team culture and lead the kitchen staff by demonstrating desired behaviours. Leads from the front, setting an example through own actions and work ethic for others to follow. Job Type: Permanent Full-time
Salary: Chef: $73,000 - $80,000 per annum (plus Superannuation)
