ABOUT THE SCHOOL The faculty contains the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Health Sciences and Physiotherapy. Led by the Executive Dean, employs a holistic approach across a diverse range of disciplines, using the latest research and innovation to advance societal understanding of disease, injury, pain and ageing, as well as developing professionals who can offer high-quality healthcare and patient support.
ABOUT THE ROLE As Curriculum Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development and revision of Faculty programs and implementing strategies to enhance academic governance and curriculum in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Health Sciences and Physiotherapy.
Key Responsibilities Work with Faculty Leaders to monitor and support the development and revision of Faculty programs. Support and monitor the design and delivery of processes for academic governance and curriculum management and provide timely information to Faculty leadership. Manage and develop a centralised Faculty source of publications including program and course materials, monitoring their currency and accuracy. Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage and inform staff, students and stakeholders of key academic governance, curriculum activities and initiatives. Build and manage a framework for developing communication and cohesion with academic staff to ensure accurate curriculum, accreditation and quality assurance documentation. Contribute to Faculty and University compliance obligation activities, including internal and external, audits, accreditation and reregistration projects such as annual reporting to regulatory and professional accrediting bodies e.g. TEQSA, AQF, etc. Qualifications & Experience We are looking for an experienced professional in academic governance and curriculum to provide support that contributes to the continued success of Faculty operations.
Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. Significant experience in the tertiary education sector, particularly in the areas of academic governance and curriculum. Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver papers, reports and proposals for all levels of the University. Highly developed relational skills including the ability to gain confidence, influence and engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary issues in the higher education sector.
