Dockhand/Forklift & MR Truck driving roles available
Working for a large well-known freight & transportation company
Programmed Skilled Workforce are currently hiring experienced forklift drivers and/or MR Truck Drivers for one of their clients located in Morwell. Our client is one of the world's largest express transportation companies, providing fast and reliable delivery to more than 220 countries.
Positions are for an immediate start with availability on the morning shift starting anywhere from 6am-7am starts, 4-7-hour shifts Monday-Friday.
MR Truck Driving Role:
Completing delivery routes in and around surrounding suburbs
6:30am starts Monday to Friday, Minimum 4-hour shifts Monday-Friday
Must have MR licence with atleast 12 months experience
Must have Forklift licence with atleast 12 months counterbalance experience
Employee will not only do Truck driving and delivery duties but might assist doing forklift/dockhand duties depending on the workload for the day.
Forklift/Dockhand Role:
Check-in (collection process)
Offload all consignments from the PUD units collection process
Label all consignments (routing label and special handling labels)
Check consignments on weight and dimensions (RPP)
Check consignment on special handling Eg: dangerous goods, security (x-ray), premiums, Sort (collection process)
Sort the consignments into the correct loading area / unit
Link the consignment data to the correct loading area / unit by means of scanning, Loading (collection process)
Operating the counterbalance forklift
Dockhand's (Freight Handling) role from 6.30am - 10.30am (Mon -Fri), 20 hours guaranteed per week completing freight
Requirements:
Valid LF (forklift) license with demonstrated experience in operating forklifts
Valid MR (Medium Rigid) licence with demonstrated experience if applying for the truck role.
Confident Forklift operator that can operate a counterbalance gas forklift single or double deep
Good communication skills
Background in logistics, transport, or courier services preferred
Ability to work AM shifts starting from 6am-7am, with flexibility in shift times
Available to work 4-7 hour shifts Monday-Friday, 20 hours guaranteed per week.
Must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical/drug and alcohol before commencing
Must pass a site police check before commencing on site
