A highlight for many is our annual participation in the Sydney Mardi Gras parade.About the role Opportunity to work with a young adult patients cohort (predominantly aged 16-25 years) with high prevalence mental disorders, including an inpatient OCD program.Opportunity to participate in a pioneering private sector innovation/R&D program with translational mental health interventions, including:MRI-guided TMS program for TRD and OCD (uniquely radiology clinic based).A patient-centred, shared care, data-driven digital platform enhancing mental health care.Scent-enabled VR exposure therapy intervention for OCD being developed in the service.Other innovative interventions in planning stage such as AI-guided psychometric tools.Opportunity to be supervised by RANZCP accredited private practice training advocate A/Prof Gary Galambos (Generalist trainees) or Dr Richard Baker (Advanced C&A trainees).Opportunity to gain experience managing outpatients as well as inpatients.Opportunity to collaborate with organisations such as the Medical School, UNDA, and the St Vincent's Curran Foundation.About the facility In this role you will be based at St Vincent's private hospital, Darlinghurst. A state-of-the-art hospital in a beautiful inner-city location.Surrounded by great cafes, galleries, theatres, parks, nightlife, and nearby glorious beaches.Closely partnered with universities and affiliated research institutes, many of which are located on-campus.Groundbreaking technologies, including world-first robotic-assisted surgeries.Highly specialized services in various surgical fields and mental health.USpace is a purpose-built mental health facility with 20 single rooms, day services, and on-site consulting suites.Uspace is Australia's first private mental health service, targeted to the needs of young adults aged 16 to 30.About you Year 5 Psychiatry Registrar (Generalist or Advanced C&A) – ideally interested in entering the private sector.Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centred focus.Enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.Professional in your manner with a warm, non-judgmental, and compassionate demeanor.Capability to thrive in a supportive team environment and have a keen interest in collaborating with like-minded individuals.General Registration with AHPRA.Sponsorship / work rights for Australia Please note, visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For this role, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have an Australia visa that grants you the work rights necessary for the role.
