About Your Opportunity You will provide specialist advice and support for delivery of Seqwater's capital delivery program.
You will work to ensure Seqwater is compliant with legislation, policy, and any other obligations, whilst maintaining and enhancing our social license through the management of non-Indigenous and Indigenous heritage matters.
As a specialist, you will provide advice and undertake planning, investigation and engagement activities with heritage consultants, Traditional Owner groups, regulators, and stakeholder groups to facilitate project outcomes.
You will work within a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the fields of environment, heritage, land-use planning, and property.
This team represents the SME functions into a number of major projects at various points in the project life cycle—from Options Assessment and Detailed Business Case, through to practical completion and handover to Seqwater Operations.
Key responsibilities: Plan and coordinate the delivery of services, supporting the management of heritage related considerations in infrastructure project planning and delivery, including both non-indigenous and indigenous heritage matters.
Provide specialist advice to management and project team members on the management of heritage related matters related to projects.
Identify, plan, and coordinate heritage requirements, such as duty of care compliance or approvals/agreements, in conjunction with project schedules and other disciplines.
Plan, manage and oversee cultural heritage projects from inception to completion in agreement making with Traditional Owners (statutory Aboriginal Parties), and other related Aboriginal Cultural Heritage legislative processes Coordinate (including by delegation with site staff) delivery of Seqwater's requirements and obligations contained within statutory approvals, and binding agreements such as Cultural Heritage Management Agreements with Traditional Owners.
Support and provide technical advice during project incident management in line with Seqwater and project plans.
About you To be successful in this role, you will possess: Bachelor's degree in archaeology, heritage management, heritage conservation, anthropology, law or similar or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years professional experience in cultural heritage management, conservation, or related field.
Demonstrated experience providing technical advice to project teams in relation to complex non-Indigenous and Indigenous cultural heritage management matters.
Demonstrated experience engaging, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with Traditional Owner groups and organisations This position has a salary range of $118,579 - $129,013 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements.
