If you're enthusiastic about fostering community engagement, this role is for you!Based at the Library and Community Facility in Swansea, you'll oversee the library, facility hire, cultural programming, and community engagement.
Your focus will be on creating dynamic and inclusive programs—think workshops, learning experiences, and creative events—that connect people with literacy, culture, and each other.
You'll work closely with community and agency networks, making sure the facility operates smoothly while meeting its goals.
Leading a small, dedicated team, you'll play a key role in managing services, driving operations, and hitting targets.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you'll work with both internal teams and external partners to help bring the Arts, Heritage, and Cultural Plan to life.
The position is currently based at Swansea Centre and requires the flexibility to operate across the network of facilities within the Lake Macquarie local government area.
The role operates on a 9-day fortnight including regular weekends, based on a roster spanning from Monday through to Sunday; 8.00am to 9.00pm.

To be considered, candidates should meet the following criteria: A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Library & Information Studies, Arts Administration, Museum/Heritage Studies, or a similar area.
Experience in facility management, with library or cultural facility management being highly regarded.
Proven leadership experience in supervising and developing diverse teams.
Project management experience is highly desirable.
A current Working with Children Check.
A valid Driver's Licence.
