We are seeking a first-class Internal Review Specialist to join our Personal Injury Team.
This team is responsible for resolving Internal Reviews under the Motor Accident Injuries Act (MAIA CTP) claims fairly, transparently, robustly, and promptly.
The Internal Review Specialist (MAIA CTP) supports the efficient and effective operation of the Personal Injury Dispute Resolution Team by conducting independent review functions under the Motor Accidents Injuries Act 2017.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience in CTP Claims or Law.
It also offers an exciting opportunity for experienced allied health professionals to transition into an insurance role, utilizing their clinical expertise, decision-making, and writing skills.
What you'll doConduct independent internal reviews of claims decisions, involving comprehensive review of evidence, identification of relevant legislative provisions, and application of legislative tests to ensure correct outcomes.Prepare Certificates of Determination and accompanying Statements of Reasons that support the decisions reached.Stay current with relevant legislative amendments, decisions of the Personal Injury Commission, and NSW Courts to ensure compliance with changing requirements.Monitor claim trends and prepare reports to assist in improving the claims process.What you'll bringExperience in Insurance Claims, preferably in the NSW CTP MAIA scheme.Qualifications in Law, Insurance, Medical, Allied Health, or related disciplines.Experience in Dispute Resolution and/or complaints handling.Ability to interpret and apply legislation.High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Strong legal and technical skills in an insurance setting.Decision-making, problem-solving, and reason writing experience.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying technical legal terms/findings in plain English to customers.What we can offer youEmployee discounts and rewards - exclusive offers on more than 400 of Australia's large retailers including Myer, David Jones, Coles and Woolworths.
