A doctorate (or soon to satisfy PhD requirements) in plant molecular biology, plant-microbe interactions, or synthetic biology . No more than 3 years of postdoctoral research experience (full-time equivalent). Demonstrated knowledge and research experience in molecular plant-pathogen interactions. Experience applying molecular biology approaches to investigate protein function or develop synthetic biology tools. High-level written and oral communication skills for effective internal and external representation. Job Description:
Conducting impactful research in plant molecular biology, particularly in the context of plant-pathogen interactions. Utilizing a molecular screening platform to identify genes with disease-causing and disease-preventing roles in plant-pathogen systems. Regular reviews of relevant literature and patents. Communicating results internally through team meetings and group presentations. Presenting results externally at conferences and preparing scientific manuscripts for publication. Salary: AU$92k – AU$101k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
