About the Role Reporting to our Operations Manager your primary responsibility will be the support management of contracts for the supply and installation of structural steel to various projects within the Cairns area as well as regional projects as required.
Planning, scheduling, procurement and resourcing projects from contract award through to client hand over focusing on safety, quality and cost.
Ensuring that completed works meet the contracted scope and specification requirements delivering a high and consistent quality of products and services.
This role will suit a hard-working industry professional with construction project experience on medium to large scale projects. The successful applicant will have exceptional communication, organisational and time management skills and will be commercially astute with tertiary or trade qualifications.
Description: Key Responsibilities: Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the delivery of assigned projects on time and to budget.Project cost control and variation management.Manage contractual and financial aspects of projects including cash flow forecasting, claims and payment scheduling.Work closely with clients, suppliers and our managers, steel detailers, workshop, and site teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.Plan and coordinate works, equipment, and personnel.Be able to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines.Monitor compliance with safety and quality management systems, performance standards and specifications.Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams to provide assistance and technical support.Manage subcontractors and ensure they comply with safety and quality requirements.Be flexible and proactive in responding to the changing needs of the business.About You: Excellent attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to work methodically and autonomously.Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritise work accordingly.Be proficient in project scheduling tools and software.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Competent in understanding and promoting WH&S imperatives and procedures.Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills.Personal values aligned to CSF Industries' values of Customer Focused, Integrity, Accuracy & Quality, Innovative, Safety and Family Values.Maintain positive relationships with other company departments to support and drive relevant project and people outcomes.Experience required: To be successful in this role you will need the following: Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing and construction environment.Trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management.Experience with fabrication and installation of structural steel is preferred.Define & coordinate delivery of project tasks from design through to commission.Knowledge of regulations, best practices and performance standards.A working knowledge of project management.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
