Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB) is welcoming applications for a passionate and innovative CSBB Sport Coordinator .
CSBB is offering sporting pathways for primary and secondary students while maintaining the understanding of and commitment to the diverse sporting, academic and welfare needs of all students.
This is a temporary part-time opportunity (0.6FTE) ideally to start on 17 January 2025 and will be for the whole of the 2025 school year.
During this engagement, the success candidate will be required to work 3 days per week.
The successful candidate should be flexible with the days of work based on sporting events.
Reporting to the CSBB Sport Leader (K-12), you will work within a dynamic and passionate team to organise and convene zone and diocesan sporting events from 2024 and assist in other sporting event logistics as required.

About the Role Implement relevant recommendations of the Sport Improvement Enquiry Report and the significant change process to embed a re-imagined approach to pathway and non-pathway sport Improve efficiency across the primary and secondary sport program with a future-focused mindset Serve as a central point of contact for staff, parents, students and other stakeholders Identify opportunities for streamlining and developing new workflows to better manage accountabilities and responsibilities of schools, CSB sport team and Financial Viability Apply policies and guidelines to support a high functioning CSBB sport program Maintain engagement with ex-students to support CSBB sport post schooling and pathways Expertly perform complex administration and online requirements of sport operations About You Supportive of, or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context Experience with convening large carnival events catering primarily to Stage 2 and Stage 3 students Background in Primary teaching is desired but not mandatory Working understanding of school operations Deep understanding of pathway sport and non-pathway sport Understanding the connections between strategic goals and operational activities Applies project and change management methodologies and work in a continuous improvement and coaching culture Has a keen eye for detail to deliver consistently accurate and informed written and verbal communications suitable for the receiving audience Works with the stakeholders to serve their needs and requirements Is energised by working in a fast-paced environment Is adaptive and responsive to change and can adapt to working under pressure and re-prioritising tasks Good level of IT knowledge, working with excel, word and PowerPoint, Online conference experience, social media and promotion High level of time management and organisational skills and capacity to work effectively within tight time constraints Qualifications and Accreditation Relevant teaching, sports administration, coaching (or similar) qualification/accreditation Valid Working with Children Check Current NSW Driver's Licence (and own car required) Current First Aid and CPR accreditations Application Process Applications should include: A cover letter of no more than two pages addressing why you are interested in the role and addressing the criteria listed above.

New position on COVID-19 vaccinations Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022.
Staff who are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks when working with children at greater risk of serious illness owing to a medical condition and/or physical disability.
