The University Farm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cropping Systems Manager to lead a small team and optimise our crop production systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing cropping strategies to meet our research, teaching, and commercial objectives.
You will ensure that our farm exemplifies best practices in environmental, social, and financial sustainability.
Collaborating closely with operations teams, you will coordinate activities, manage resources, and leverage technology and data to enhance crop management.
This is a newly created position designed to support the expansion of teaching, research and commercial activities at our vibrant University Farms.
The successful candidate will join us at our 1600-hectare commercial farm at Wagga Wagga featuring 400 hectares of zero-till continuous cropping.
Applicants are expected to hold a current and valid NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are also required.
As part of this recruitment, a pre-employment functional screening is required.
