About the role
We are seeking a committed and experienced HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Advisor to join Bulkline Haulage in Port Hedland, Western Australia. This full-time role reports operationally to the General Manager and functionally to the HSE Manager. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations while driving continuous improvement.
About you
The successful candidate will bring transport industry experience and a strong understanding of heavy vehicle haulage challenges. They will build strong team relationships, ensure safety requirements are embraced, confidently manage compliance, foster trust, and drive a positive safety culture. Their expertise will promote continuous improvement and consistently exceed client expectations.
What you'll be doing
Developing, implementing and monitoring safety, health, environment and quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices Conducting risk assessments, audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and non-conformances Providing training and support to employees on HSE policies and procedures Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence Liaising with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on HSE-related matters Continuously reviewing and improving HSE processes to drive operational excellence What we're looking for
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable) ICAM certification Minimum 3 years' experience in a HSE advisory or management role, preferably within the Mining or Transport Sector Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, environmental and quality legislation and regulations Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Demonstrated experience in maintaining HSE management systems with experience in MYOSH (Desirable) Proficiency in data analysis and report writing with good computer skills (MS suite) Can do, positive attitude focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
