Responsibilities:
Attending and represent clients in criminal proceedings, including pleas of guilty, contest mentions, bail applications etcDepending on experience, Magistrate Court hearings and appeals, Preparation of indictable briefs both for the County and Supreme courts, instructing at trials, and some superior court appearance work.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong casesCollaborate with internal team members and external partners to achieve optimal outcomes for clientsRequirements:
Recognised Law degreeAdmission to the Bar in Victoria with a right to practiceProven experience in criminal law is preferred but we look at graduates if their passion lies in the criminal sectorStrong litigation skills, including courtroom experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesCommitment to ethical conduct and upholding the principles of justiceBenefits:
