Responsibilities
Attending and representing clients in criminal proceedings, including pleas of guilty, contest mentions, bail applications, etc.
Magistrate Court hearings and appeals, preparation of indictable briefs both for the County and Supreme courts, instructing at trials, and some superior court appearance work.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases.
Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
Requirements
Recognised Law degree.
Strong litigation skills, including courtroom experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Commitment to ethical conduct and upholding the principles of justice.
