We are advertising for: Criminal Investigation and Evidence Control Officers at the APS 4 and APS 5 levels Criminal Investigation Officers at the APS 6 level Criminal Investigation Managers and Directors at the EL 1 and EL2 levels.
About the area Fraud and Criminal Behaviours is dedicated to developing solutions to address deliberate, systemic, or complex behaviours that threaten the integrity of the Taxation and Superannuation systems.
We play a key role in supporting the ATO's core compliance functions by conducting a wide range of investigations across a broad range of tax-related crimes, including those pursued through the Serious Financial Crimes Taskforce.
These roles may require interstate travel and a current Australian driver's licence is essential.
You may be required, at times, to work flexible hours outside of the standard bandwidth.
Key Responsibilities: Investigate complex fraud offences to a criminal standard of proof Assess and gather information Prepare comprehensive briefs of evidence Mentor and guide others Skills and Experience: Experience in planning and leading fraud investigations Familiar with evidence gathering activities Understanding of evidence management Can interpret legislation, regulations, and operating policies These roles will be offered in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD, Newcastle, Perth or Sydney CBD.
You must be an Australian citizen to work with the ATO.
