If you love cricket and have a keen appetite for expanding your teaching and/or managing repertoire, then here is an opportunity not to be missed! 
This year the ANU Junior Cricket Community are seeking to employ up to 10 enthusiastic, cricket-loving people to lead our Stage 1 and Stage 2 teams to match playing victory! 
With the assistance of parent volunteers, Training Coaches and Training Coordinators will be responsible for leading our training sessions ONLY (not required for matches on weekends), on Tuesday (Reid Oval) and/or Wednesday evenings (ANU South Oval), 4:30 - 6:30 pm from dates (inclusive), Tues 15th Oct - Wed 11th Dec and then Tues 28th Jan - Wed March 12th.  The proposed format for each training session will be as follows: whole club warm-up (15 minutes); 2 - 3 x 20 - 30 minute stations (batting, bowling, fielding - mix of nets and field stations); and a 30 - 45 minute tennis/plastic-ball training match. Coaches/Training Coordinators will be required to set-up and pack-up equipment for drills and Skills Stations; liaise with team officials about training focus areas; and facilitate and manage the drills/practice-matches at every training session.
To be considered for the position of Coach and/or Training Coordinator, applicants MUST:  Have (or be willing to attain) a WWVP CardHave relevant coaching/cricket-playing experienceBe available most weeks on a Tuesday and/or Wednesday evening from 4:30 - 6:30pm at South Oval (ANU)/Reid OvalWhilst coaching experience is preferred, it is not a requirement in order to join our dedicated team: enthusiasm for the game and players, and a keen interest in learning new skills is highly valued. On the job training via a Junior Coach Development Session at the beginning of the season, in addition to ongoing guidance by other coaches and the Training Coordinator throughout the season, will be provided.
At each 2-hour training session, Training Coaches will be required to : 
Set up and pack away equipment for drills, net-sessions and training matches
Lead drills and manage players at Skills Stations and in the cricket-nets
Manage players and officiate practice matches at the end of sessions
Provide direction to parent volunteers about how to assist with drills and skills sessions
Each 2-hour training session will be facilitated by a Training Coordinator. In addition to the duties for Training Coaches, Training Coordinators will also be required to: 
Lead Training Coach and player briefings at the beginning and end of training sessions
Liaise with team officials about target areas for skills development
Be the first point of contact for parents at training sessions
Select/create relevant drills and focus areas in training sessions
Manage Skills Station transitions and player safety during training sessions
Liaise with Child and Member Safety Officer, when required
