Participation Officer WA Cricket is seeking a part-time energetic and passionate individual to drive the delivery of school-based programs in the North metropolitan region (Claremont to Eglinton). In this role, you will be responsible for building a culture of cricket in schools, facilitating the transition of children from schools to clubs, and supporting clubs in the growth of their Woolworths Cricket Blast Programs. This role is for a fixed term of two years.
Key Responsibilities Contributing to the development of school engagement strategies. Building and leveraging relationships with local schools and school ambassadors. Facilitating the delivery of professional development activities to school ambassadors and teachers to support teacher delivery of curriculum programs. Providing operational support to school ambassadors and teachers involved in the delivery of the national suite of school programs such as Mascots Challenge, Health and PE Program, Sporting Schools, and Woolworths Cricket Blast (WWCB) School Cups, both directly and through the Australian Cricket Call Centre. Working with Cricket Managers to deliver targeted promotional activities in schools that optimise the transition of kids from schools to club-based WWCB Programs and Junior cricket. Working with Cricket Managers to provide support to WWCB Centres to help them deliver quality programs to participants including the training and education of Woolworths Cricket Blast Coordinators and Parents. Developing recruitment and retention strategies for implementation of junior cricket pathway with a strong emphasis on 5-12 year olds. Who we are looking for Essential Experience and understanding of community level sport; Excellent customer and relationship building skills; Passion and ability to promote and deliver entry level programs; Working with Children Card; and 'C' class driver's licence. Desirable Tertiary qualifications in education; Understanding of cricket; and Coaching accreditation. The perks!
