Vessel docking, mooring and maintenance. Tender boat operation and water safety. Work with Business Owner, Captain, and other members of the Operations Team to ensure Cruises are planned and run smoothly. Hiring, training, motivating, and coaching new crew as they provide attentive, efficient service to guests. Ensuring the Maritime Operating Plan of the vessel prioritises the standards of operation set by Raglan Boat Charters, especially the Safety Operating Procedures. Participate in all overboard safety drills and safety induction procedures for new Crew signing on. Ensuring crew members follow company policies and procedures. Organise crew Rosters according to Charter guest requirements. CRUISE MANAGEMENT:
Communication with the captain and Business Owner about weather conditions. Help with bringing Cruise boat in from the mooring using the tender boat and making sure the Cruise boat is safely tied off at the wharf. Prepare the boat for each cruise by cleaning, setting up and having everything ready to welcome guests. Managing the bar, ordering goods, and stock control. Make sure all Health and Safety, and Food and Liquor Licencing rules are adhered to. Cash Handling, reconciling days takings, and making sure administrative forms are filled in after each cruise. CUSTOMER SERVICE
Answering phone and email inquiries. Make bookings and run the booking system. Quote Private Charters & other events, ensuring correct pricing is being offered. Follow up on all quotes done to see if they would like to confirm their booking. Organise all bookings onto Google Calendar, ensuring there are no double bookings. Following up with Bookings prior to their cruise to make sure all requirements are being met. (Private, tours, public cruises) Organise and order catering for all cruises. Follow up with Guests after their cruise to ensure everything went as they expected. Invoicing for Private Cruises and Tour Companies. MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA:
Promote the business locally using different marketing tools. Managing social media (Facebook, Instagram, Meta, Website) GENERAL
Organising events, looking for artists & other forms of entertainment to perform on the boat. Communicating and working with local businesses to create business connections and joint events.
