The Workforce Planning team are responsible for the short to long-term planning for Flight, Cabin and Ground Crew across our network. We are a fun and dedicated team responsible for delivering compliant and efficient rosters that align to business objectives.
The Role: As a Crew Planning Analyst your role will provide reliable and comprehensive analytics and insights that will support operational strategies. This role partners with Airline Operations, Crew leaders and various stakeholders across the Virgin Australia business to influence strategic workforce planning and labour optimisation.
Some of the exciting challenges in this role are; production and management of resource plans and workforce planning modelling, productivity targets, training requirements, annual leave management, cost and budgetary control, regulatory and industrial compliance, and fatigue management in a constantly changing environment.
You will work closely with the Leader Workforce Planning and Analytics in a team of analysts supporting operational workforces.
As a Crew Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for: Analysing complex workforce planning initiatives, identify trends and recommend changes to meet operational requirementsDevelopment of recruitment and training plans that meet business requirementsAccurate and timely reporting of Workforce Planning outcomesIdentifying process improvements and making recommendations for implementationEnsuring all documentation, checklists and procedures are up to dateEngaging with key stakeholders to gather feedback to drive continuous improvement and provide comprehensive solutionsWhat you need to be successful: High proficiency with Microsoft Suite in particular ExcelDemonstrated experience in analytical techniques to examine and manage large data sets for work groups across the countryAbility to put narrative to numbers when communicating with internal stakeholdersStrong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and prioritise tasks effectivelyProven team player with strong initiative and the ability to work independentlyHighly desirable but not required: Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization toolsBasic programming skillsExperience with R StudioAviation ExperienceWe're committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to): Discounted flights for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year)A flexible, hybrid work style.
