We are seeking an experienced Crew Leader Civil Technician to join our dynamic team at A1 Highways Pty Ltd in Townsville, Queensland. As Crew Leader, you will play a vital role in overseeing the successful delivery of our civil construction projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
What you'll be doing Lead and supervise a team of civil construction workers to complete projects on time and to specificationCoordinate and schedule the work of your team, allocating tasks and monitoring progressIdentify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction processEnsure strict adherence to all health and safety protocols and proceduresProvide hands-on support and guidance to your team, sharing your technical expertiseLiaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project deliveryContribute to the continuous improvement of our construction processes and methodologiesWillingness to travel to remote sites, with overnight stays as required.What we're looking for Proven experience as a Crew Leader or Supervisor in the civil construction industryStrong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in civil construction techniques and equipmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a teamProblem-solving skills and the ability to make informed, timely decisionsCommitment to safety and a deep understanding of workplace health and safety regulationsRelevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related fieldWhat we offer
