The Credit & Trade Spend Controls Manager role will be a core part of the small but savvy Commercial Controls team and will work closely with process leaders and functional experts across our Australia Foods business. The work will be fast-paced, deeply analytical, and hinge on the ability to translate analytics into clear and compelling stories that influence the stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will need to be perpetually curious, enjoy building an intimate knowledge of our D&A structure, Sales GTM, IT systems and be fuelled by analytically linking key choices to productivity and operational outcomes at a granular and actionable level. You'll also need to enjoy highly collaborative ways of working, be comfortable with building and giving presentations at multiple levels of the organization, and have strong organization/time-management skills.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader who can elevate our customers' experience, simplify our processes, and make most of automation tools to streamline & optimise key processes.
Responsibilities Reporting & Governance: Oversight of D&A expense accounting and governance of D&A accruals to ensure accuracy and completeness. Synthesize data across D&A budget and customer claims to identify trends and critical business issues that are impacting process efficiency. Engage with key stakeholders to build support and consensus for simplification initiatives. Drive Balance Sheet reviews and reconciliation in Blackline ensuring timely closure of action items. Lead customer master data governance by performing review of customer contracts and pricing & rebates set-up in SAP. Prepare annual/quarterly Cash Flow forecasts and identify initiatives to improve DSO. Collection and Credit Management: Manage the credit policy for AU Foods and annual credit limit reviews for all customers. Manage ad-hoc and permanent credit limit requests from business in accordance with established guidelines. Ensure timely collection from customers in collaboration with Shared Services Team. Periodically review reconciliation for key customers, analyse exceptions and work with stakeholders to clear aged items. Manage effectiveness of activities outsourced to Shared Service team through review of SLAs, key reports and metrics, escalating any recurring issues. Monitor and track KPIs including monthly/quarterly review with Leadership Teams. Internal Controls: Support the business/management in monitoring key risks associated with the OTC cycle and providing practical solutions to mitigate them. Identify opportunities for simplifying controls/processes and work with key stakeholders across business to develop and implement system enhancements/process automation. Qualifications 10 Years of relevant experience, preferably in an FMCG environment. Proficiency in SAP is essential. Bachelor's degree or higher; professional qualifications are a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to challenge the status quo. Ability to champion customer needs and drive organizational improvements through cross-functional collaboration. Advanced communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
