Allied Credit is seeking a Credit Team Leader
to join our wonderful Retail Lending team. You would be responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of the Credit Acceptance team who are managing the credit assessment of consumer and commercial loans and servicing to the Retail Dealer/Introducer Network. A strong emphasis is placed on people leadership, process adherence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day retail lending operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely decision-making. Act as the escalation point for all Retail Lending transactions, ensuring quick and effective resolution of issues. Ensure the team delivers a high level of customer service, balancing business needs while building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners. Assist the Introducer network with inquiries related to lending and settlements. Ensure that all Retail Lending processes comply with internal policies, industry standards and regulatory guidelines. Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture that aligns with corporate values, using escalations as opportunities to coach and train the team. Assist the Retail Lending Manager in facilitating team meetings, training sessions and coaching to equip the team with the skills and knowledge needed for success. Support the Retail Lending Manager in driving initiatives that align with Allied Credit's vision and strategic goals. Lead the team in continuous process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and improve the quality of outputs. Act as a subject matter expert for Retail Lending in company-wide projects and initiatives.
Your background
Proven experience in Asset Finance, with a strong understanding of consumer & commercial credit and loan administration in a responsible lending environment. At least 5+ years of experience in Settlements, Credit or Retail Lending with a sound understanding of the NCCP and relevant industry regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in motivating and developing a team to achieve success. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Empathetic and customer-focused, with strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities. A track record of recommending and implementing process improvements and innovative solutions.
