About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Credit Supervisor to join our Finance & Administration team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in credit management to oversee key accounts, including David Jones, Myer, Harris Scarfe, Officeworks, Costco, and various Online and Overseas Export accounts. You will be responsible for daily reconciliation of bank statements, account management, and leading a team to ensure the consistent excellence of our credit operations. Your ability to make informed decisions, maintain compliance, and provide leadership will be essential in driving the success of our department. Key Responsibilities Include:
Reconciliation of Daily Bank Statements. Account Reconciliation and Follow-up. Ensure all accounts are reconciled to customer remittance. Follow up on overdue invoices and claims, aiming to keep accounts aged 90 days to a minimum. Account Opening & Maintenance. Provide daily support to staff and oversee the department in the absence of the Credit Manager. Accurately predict end-of-month collection values and provide the Manager with daily cash position updates. Leadership & Performance Management of a Team of 7. Collaborate with the customer call centre to resolve issues and manage customer refunds.
We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have:
Proven experience in credit management and account reconciliation. Intermediate or advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables. Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide and support a team of 7. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience would be desirable, but not a must. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in credit decisions.
