Job Summary A Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing credit risk within our organization, ensuring that all lending activities align with our risk appetite and regulatory requirements. The Credit Risk Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing credit risk strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the company's assets.
Key Responsibilities Working in the risk analytics team to create and implement strategies that expand the Plenti loan portfolio while managing losses. Collaborating on credit processes to find ways to automate and enhance efficiency for a better customer experience. Create and maintain reports on key risk metrics, concentrations, and stratifications of the loan portfolio. Anticipate regulatory risk by regularly monitoring the regulatory landscape. Prepare ad-hoc risk management reports as assigned. Prepare industry analysis as well as annual and interim credit reports. Proactively monitor and identify changes within key metrics and trends diagnosing problems and identifying opportunities for improvements and corrections. Effectively collaborate with colleagues from across all functions of the business including compliance, technology, marketing, operations, and finance. Key Qualifications Ideally you will have a Bachelor's degree or higher within either, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or similar quantitative field of study. You must possess a general understanding of consumer credit products and require 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis. Familiarity with credit policies and standards as well as relevant regulations and compliance issues. Demonstrated ability to perform analysis on substantial data sets within SQL, SAS, Python, Excel or similar analytics. It is essential you will possess solid written as well as verbal communication skills for effective presentations and working relationships with all levels of management across various departments. Willingness to work in an environment of uncertainty with significant autonomy. Flexibility: The credit portfolio analyst job requires flexibility to shift from task to tasks, and to handle various projects. Key Competencies Ability to design and complete analytics incorporating outcomes into recommendations and strategy. Confident and clear communication across key stakeholders including sales, product, finance, and operational teams. Judgement and critical thinking, taking complex situations and implementing best strategies under uncertainty, test and learn. Comfortable providing thought leadership, influencing and implementing credit risk strategy across the organization. Solid understanding of regulatory environment including national consumer credit laws. Expert in at least one credit risk process across credit policy, portfolio management or collections. Comfortable with working with large datasets in SQL/Python/SAS/Databricks. Ability to develop strong working relationships across all functions in the business. What's life like at Plenti?
