The position:The Credit Officer plays a vitally important role in the and ownership of the Accounts Receivable function, to maximise the collection efficiency and minimise overdue/doubtful debts whilst maintaining a compassionate approach to our customers. Role Responsibilities:Contribute to the documentation and management of appropriate department procedures.Monitoring customer accounts on assigned ledgers for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities and resolving discrepancies.Debt Collection of overdue invoices – phone & emailsManagement of AR mailbox and processing credit card payments over phonePreparation and distribution of account reconciliations where required.Responding to customer queries promptly/courteously and raising credit requests where necessary.Processing of customer credits/ Claims in Oracle JD Edwards per company processRequesting POD or invoice copies as requiredUploading Payments daily and completing allocations on assigned ledgers.Processing of Vendor manual F&OB DocketsMaintenance of customer records, timely requests to Master Data to ensure all customer details are current.
