We are currently seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our Finance team in Brookvale. Job Summary The Credit Controller plays a critical role in managing the company's credit risk and ensuring timely collections of receivables. This position is responsible for reconciling debtors' accounts, authorising order releases, assisting with credit limit increases, and identifying non-payers for potential legal action. The Credit Controller will also handle banking, allocate receipts, make journal entries, and perform data entry tasks, all while maintaining a strong customer service orientation.
Key Responsibilities Reconcile debtors' accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Collect outstanding payments from customers, ensuring timely and efficient collections.Authorise order releases based on credit assessments and company policies.Assist in evaluating and approving credit limit increases for customers.Identify non-payers and recommend actions for legal follow-up, as necessary.Manage banking transactions and ensure proper allocation of receipts.Perform journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.Conduct data entry tasks to update customer accounts and records.Complete other duties as assigned by the Credit Manager.Cashiers Duties and Till and cash reconciliations.Reception duties (lunch coverage) and one/two Saturdays a week 4/5 hours each time as directed by the manager.Key Requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.A strong focus on customer service and customer satisfaction.Proficient phone manners with a clear voice and a good command of the English language.Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets for data analysis.Sounds like you?
