About the role:
Reporting to the AR Manager, the Credit Controller works in partnership with key stakeholders within the business to collect outstanding monies and deliver exceptional customer support. This role involves managing a sizable client ledger and interacting with external and internal clients.
The Credit Controller is responsible for the collection of outstanding monies while maintaining important client relationships. The position also provides opportunities to identify and drive improvements in work processes internally.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a sizable client ledger, forming strong relationships with key internal stakeholders including Sales & Customer Service to deliver outstanding customer support. Manage debtor accounts within agreed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) targets.
Address and resolve finance queries related to accounts.
Maintain open communication channels and keep detailed records of all customer interactions documented within our collection tool (Getpaid).
Work autonomously and collaboratively with other departments to tackle agreed problems and provide exceptional service.
Manage internal and external customers with diplomacy and professionalism to achieve high customer satisfaction and build relationships.
Prepare weekly Aged Debtor reports from the collection tool (Getpaid).
Process credit applications and create customer accounts in the accounting system.
Manage a shared email inbox.
Essential Skills, Experience and Competencies:
Previous experience in Credit Management or Finance highly regarded, with a minimum of five years.
Customer-focused with the ability to deliver exceptional service and build strong relationships.
Ability to form strong relationships with key internal stakeholders including Sales & Customer Service.
Track record of creating innovative solutions and process improvements, with a passion for change and driving efficiency.
Strong problem resolution skills while remaining calm under pressure.
