We are seeking an experienced Credit and Market Risk Advisor to support business units in identifying, assessing, and managing risks and controls across both the credit lifecycle and the broader market risk landscape.
What's the opportunity?The Credit and Market Risk Advisor is vital to our CPS 220 obligations, providing comprehensive risk oversight for both retail banking products and treasury activities.
You will be instrumental in guiding the business on credit risks, from loan origination through to arrears management and discharges, covering products like home loans, personal loans, and credit cards.
At the same time, you'll be a key player in managing market risks, focusing on areas such as gap limits, swaps, balance sheet movements, and capital and liquidity management.
You will work closely with the Program Director Risk Transformation and Senior Manager Enterprise Risk to ensure risks are fully integrated into our broader risk management strategy, aligning with the CPS 220 Comprehensive Risk Transformation Program.
Whether it's overseeing credit risk across retail portfolios or managing treasury-related exposures like interest rate risks and derivatives, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding the organisation's financial stability.
To be successful in this role you will have:We would love to hear from candidates who are experienced in the world of Risk Management and have previously enjoyed a similar role within the financial services sector.
You will bring your expertise in both credit and market risk, ensuring effective controls are in place and supporting Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) programs.
Someone who is eager to get exposure to the full business and is looking for a role where they can grow would be a great fit.
Ideally having proven industry experience, you will have excellent communication skills and be passionate about your work and helping to protect our bank.
