Job Description: Full Time, 12 month fixed term position Must hold a Credentialed Diabetes Educator qualification Experience in Diabetes technology in clinical use and training About the role Located at St Vincent's Hospital in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, the appointee will be responsible for contributing to clinical trial research as part of a broader diabetes research team with a focus on type one diabetes and device technology- Diabetes Technology Research Group (D.T.R.G) You would be working in a multidisciplinary, internationally recognised, professional team skilled in the implementation of diabetes focused clinical protocols and working with people who live with diabetes The incumbent is expected to lead protocol implementation at site, including participant education and insulin titration with multiple diabetes technology devices and CGM specific to t1d management, liaising with Principal Investigator at the site, and able to deliver accurate, compliant data entry.
Classifications for this position will be Clinical Nurse Consultant ZF4 - ZJ4 ?($107,962.00 - $113,646.00 pro rata per annum) + Salary sacrifice About you A degree with substantial relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in nursing Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise and work effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation High level attention to detail and problem solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgement and initiative, while maintaining commitment to achieving outcomes High level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads, work well under pressure, autonomously, and organise own work and others to meet deadlines Flexibility and can do attitude with excellent attention to detail and willingness to continue to learn Team player with proven ability to work autonomously Skills and Experience required to fulfil the position Must hold or is working towards a qualification as a Credentialed Diabetes Educator with clinical experience and have diabetes technology clinical use , training and experience Working towards or Current GCP certification and a sound understanding of the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Experience in the coordination and management in the use of diabetes technology in a clinical setting.
Practical knowledge of diabetes insulin pump technology and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) across multiple industry platforms Experience in the education of people with diabetes around all aspects associated with health technologies Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise and work effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation High level problem solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to exercise judgement and initiative, while maintaining commitment to achieving outcomes High level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads, works well under pressure, autonomously, and organise own work and others to meet deadlines Computer skills including work , excel , power point and working knowledge of Hospital platforms Desirable Occasional interstate travel and afterhours availability Driver's Licence Working at St Vincent's St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is a leading teaching, research and tertiary health service.
