Pay : £27,300 gross per annum / £105 per day / 35 hours p / w
Type : Temporary, FTC, 3 February to 2 May, 2025
Location : Edinburgh Science offices, warehouses, Festival venues
About the Role : We are seeking a Projects and Production Officer to provide high-quality administrative support to our organisation. This is an exciting and diverse opportunity focusing on the annual Edinburgh Science Festival and supporting our wider UK work as required. The role is key to the smooth running of our busy programming and operations teams.
You will focus on the administration of project logistics and production and content needs. This will include supporting the production process by taking on aspects of procurement, print management, creating schedules, managing hired materials, and assisting with the creation and tracking of project documentation.
Under the direction of the Senior Manager - Production & Technical, you will also undertake practical and administrative tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of the Festival.
You will be a confident communicator, able to collect and synthesize data from a wide variety of sources. You will be capable of balancing priorities and deadlines effectively, ideally with experience of doing so in a fast-paced festival or live events environment.
About You : Proven administrative skills, including meticulous attention to detail.Proficient user of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel to a high standard.Excellent written communication and editing skills.Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize the demands of multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.Strong interpersonal skills, able to work and communicate professionally with a diverse range of internal staff and external suppliers / third parties.Prior experience working in festival or live event delivery, for example as a stage manager or a member of the production crew, is desirable but not essential.
