Join a high performing team at the forefront of politics in South Australia.
Based in the Office of the State Liberal Leader at Parliament House, the successful applicant will report to the Director of Media & Communications, collaborating with senior staff, Shadow Ministers and Members of Parliament in the delivery of powerful creative and communications on the big issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Production: Create high-quality, visually appealing graphics for a variety of campaign materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, banners, and digital ads.
Develop and design content for campaign websites, ensuring alignment with overall branding and messaging.
Design and manage social media graphics and assets tailored for platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with the Chief of Staff, Director of Media & Communications and Director of Community Engagement and other team members to understand goals, target audience and messaging strategies.
Contribute creative ideas to enhance the visual impact of the Opposition's messaging.
Print and Digital Media: Prepare and oversee the production of print materials, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and are delivered on time.
Adapt designs for various digital formats, including email newsletters, website graphics, and social media ads.
Social Media and Advertising: Design and optimize visual content for social media campaigns, ensuring it is engaging and aligned with platform-specific requirements.
Work within the digital team to create and optimize advertisements for social media platforms, focusing on both organic reach and paid campaigns.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to the campaign's branding guidelines, maintaining a consistent visual identity across all platforms.
Develop templates and style guides for use by other team members or external partners.
Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced campaign environment.
Collaborate regularly with parliamentary stakeholders to provide updates on project status, any challenges encountered and solutions.
Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably with experience in political campaigns or advocacy work.
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Knowledge of web content management systems, particularly WordPress.
Social Media Skills: Working knowledge of advertising on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Creativity: Strong creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a campaign environment.
