This position provides continuity of midwifery care within a caseload midwifery led model throughout the continuum of pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postnatal period.

Job Details Job Title: Clinical Midwife Position Number: Pool Ref 00616124 Division: Midwest—Midwifery Location: Carnarvon Work Type: Full Time Salary: RN Level 2 $99,431 — $105,002 p.a prorata The midwife works within a group practice and provides support and backup for the woman either at home or in the hospital.
The emphasis is on the provision of safe, effective care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Within the midwifery group practice, the woman and her family are central to the care and provided in a culturally appropriate manner.

About the Area The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Midwest health region of Western Australia covers more than 470,000 square kilometres, nearly one fifth of the State, with its population concentrated along the coast.
The region is located in the northern middle section of Western Australia and incorporates three health districts—Gascoyne, Geraldton, Midwest, and Murchison.
It is recognised for its unique natural environment and is a culturally diverse region with Aboriginal people representing 13% of the overall population.
