Sedgman has an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer with detailed design experience to join our Engineering Team in Perth to support studies, tenders, and projects across the globe and across multiple commodities such as copper, iron-ore, gold, and rare earth minerals.
This role will be a contract for a set period of time.What we can offer you:Flexible arrangements to help you achieve work-life balanceA focus on your professional development and opportunities to grow your career within SedgmanA collaborative focus on continuous improvement and innovation in our safety cultureA friendly and social work environmentThe role will require but not limited to:Working as part of an experienced and established electrical team to leverage previous project designs, whilst still being adaptable and able to provide innovative designs and thinking when requiredWork across a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and operationsPreparing conceptual and detailed electrical designs of various types of ore crushing and conveying facilities and associated servicesDefining and recommending design methods, specifications, and performance of functional requirements for new projectsUndertaking or supervising the preparation of feasibility studies, surveys and reports, design layouts, bill of quantities and cost estimates.
Generating equipment specifications and supporting the equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project execution.Managing electrical discipline budget and schedule during the execution of projects in all phases of maturity.Carrying out site inspections and liaising with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers.
Engineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams with the occasional deployment as a commissioning resource.Liaising with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost-effective delivery of projectsWhat are we looking for?Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)At least 7+ years' experience, preferably in the project design, commissioning, and onsite environmentsExperience with electrical layouts and designs, safety standards and low to medium voltage functionsSite-based practical experience with commissioning, operations and problem solving issues will be highly regarded, however not essentialElectrical experience with multiple commodity types highly regardedCommunication skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem solve are essential to the roleRPEng, CPEng or Chartered Status will be highly regarded, however not essentialSedgman Pty Limited is a market leader in the design, construction and operation of mineral processing plants for the global resources sector.
